Job Title: Human Resource Specialist

Located in a beautiful monumental building in Baarn, Vlastuin consists of approximately 25 enthusiastic and dedicated specialists.

Primary responsibilities:

  • Creating work contracts (temporary, permanent, freelance, extension, termination…)
  • Planning and conducting, probation period, mid-year and end of year performance reviews and exit interviews and documenting them. As well as periodically updating the system of HR conversations.
  • Contributing and advising on the structure of the organisation
  • Writing and updating job descriptions
  • Writing vacancy descriptions
  • Taking care of periodic updates of the personnel guide
  • Managing and executing the recruitment and selection of new employees
  • Planning and managing the onboarding of new joiners
  • Managing salary conversations with employees
  • Maintaining the salary scales and bonus regulations up to date
  • Maintaining employee files up to date (according to the law)
  • Tracking holiday requests and approving them in agreement with direct line managers (Nmbrs & Excel)
  • Being the trusted partner of the employees in delicate situations
  • Organising social events for the employees with the party committee, providing gifts for employees
  • Coordinating and carrying out sick and recovery reports in accordance with the WVP (Gatekeeper Improvement Act)
  • Possibly arranging work permits and 30% application
  • Carrying out leave benefits and sickness reports to UWV
  • Monitors developments in labour law and the labour market. Advising the Board of Directors on HR and employment law developments

Education and required competencies:

  • Completed HBO/University degree in HRM
  • At least 5-7 years of experience as a Human Resource Specialist or a similar role HR
  • Excellent knowledge of Dutch HR regulations and laws
  • Strong communication skills, strong personality, a people’s person
  • Ability to work both independently and as part of a team
  • Proactive, decisive, solution-oriented, willing to roll up your sleeves
  • Excellent knowledge of MS Office (PowerPoint, Word, Excel)
  • Excellent knowledge of Dutch and English both in writing and speaking is a must since we employ several English speaking employees
  • The role is initially planned for 16 to 20 hours per week – flexibility in working hours on pick moments of the year divided over several days in consultation
  • Driver’s license is a must and a car is a plus as the work location is in Baarn and not easily accessible by public transport
